Ok, who's up for a Lifeboat Meet some time in September/October?

A London central railway station hotel/pub thing, probably that big Waterloo one.

We can do it.

And who knows, Ozzy might just drop in!

Names, names, names ...

I'm up for it Aardi. As long as we make it mid September, I'm always away the last week, up north, 'cos that's when I get my mobile guy to service my caravan before I put it into winter storage. I'm also likely to be away the first week. Presumably at Wetherspoons?

I have no idea! It just seemed like a good idea, and there's a bit of time to arrange it. I can come along just about any time. So where to start? With names, I guess.

There's you and me, then! :wink3:

We've always had them at the Wetherspoons, which is at Liverpool St Station - I think there's one at most London main stations. Personally, I'd prefer the one at Victoria - because that's where Victoria Coach Station is next to, and I'll be coming by bus. Perhaps that might be the best for everybody, as Victoria Coach Station is the main London bus terminus - and the buses are a lot cheaper than the train!

Victoria is definitely better for me too.

Not an easy place to get to. Central London is chosen, as it has been in the past, due to its good transport links. For the same reason we've had a couple of IDF50 meets in Birmingham and one in Derby.

I'll be there if I am no working/otherwise engaged. Any day in the first two weeks in October would be ideal for me as the whole of September is a bit congested.

Good idea KE. October maybe better than September, as September is often a nice month for holidays.

I had thought lifeboaters would be more enthusiastic to meet each other .... :f-minus:

I'd love to meet up with others in the Lifeboat, but I honestly can't see much enthusiasm for a get-together in Hobart.

I thought they were all going to rush down here, Blarney, to Henley Lake Masterton New Zealand but there doesn't seem to be much enthusiasm.
Blarney are you in Hobart?

Seems like this event has died the death due to lack of support. Pity. We've had successful ones in the past with at least a dozen people taking part. So unless we get a sudden influx of people deciding that they would like to go, during the next week or so, I suggest that we put it on hold until the spring, say around mid April.

No, Ciderman, in the sticks, about 80Ks south of Hobart.
