Many People have a habit of revisiting one particular book when they go on holiday.
For me it is Anna Karenina by Tolstoy.

It is one of the most absorbing books I have ever read and there seems to be something new to be found in it each time I read it. The characters are almost like old friends, or maybe a family you have observed over the years but don't interact with.

It reached a point where my wife would reach for the book as we packed and would say 'I suppose she is coming with us?'.

Watching the BBC's take on 'War and Peace' I can see the way Tolstoy uses essentially the same characters in both his major works.

Dave.
